March Madness

This month saw the Sycamore room prepare for lots of March celebrations - the boys and girls made beautiful clay tealight holders for their mums for Mothers Day; they used paper and card to create Lucky Leprechaun heads and Mr. Shamrock for St. Patricks Day and they created very effective Good Friday scenes to mark Holy Week. The boys and girls always put so much effort into their artwork and the classroom is always bright and colourful as a result. 

A visit from Bobby the lamb was enjoyed by all. Bobby was right at home being petted and admired by the boys and girls.

While the weather hasn't been the best over the past few weeks, we made the most of what sunshine we got and took our boardgames to the astro turf pitch. Everyone enjoyed playing their games outdoors.

We enjoyed a great visit to the library in Miltown where the boys and girls enjoyed perusing all the different genres of reading material on offer. Librarian Helen spoke to the children and explained to them what joining the library would mean for them. Everyone was very enthusiastic, so hopefully over the next few weeks there will be a jump in library registrations!!

Everyone enjoyed our classroom Easter Raffle. Yummy treats were won by all.
